Hiking trip
PART 1
A while back, I should say a few years back, Manon and I were toying with the idea to take a few days in the Gaspésie National Park to go hiking. As we were getting ready for the Rally des Gazelles, it seemed like the right thing to do. Why you may ask? What does hiking have to do with the Rally des Gazelles?

Hiking trip
PART 2
A little further from the caribous herd, there were snow patches, a frequent thing in the Park, even in July! It was so exhilarating (I have to say that we both love winter). We took some pictures and went our way. It seems like the path stopped there. Weird! At my right, there was a small trail that I went on exploring… while keeping Manon at sight. Finally, it was just an animal trail. Right in front, a small lake, impossible to go over it… At my left, snow, as far as the eye can see. Nice… but where are the indications to find our way?

Our pink tents
A little story about a gift we recently received.
The Gazelles organization strongly recommends that we buy a tent specially designed for the desert. It has no screen so the sand can’t enter. It is also installed in a snap; as soon as it is deployed, you can use it! But this tent, made by Quechua, is only available in Europe. Manon, who had travelled to Belgium, had a contact there: Didier. Happy to help us out, he went and bought the tent for us. He then told us the good news that he will personally come to Quebec to deliver his gift to us.

THE RETURN!
After a “short” Web absence of about 6 months or so, the Gazelles Manon and Martine are making a comeback. Yes, THE RETURN!!! Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles 2010, here we come!
Being quiet on our blog didn’t mean that our project was postponed… not a chance! During that time, my Gazelle and I were not at standstill. In fact, we were working hard to achieve our goal: being ready for the best possible place at the starting line in Morocco in 2010.
